The book club will be discussing The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate on Tuesday, August 18, at 1:00 pm in Room 16. This is a beautifully written book about the efforts of freed slaves after the Civil War to search for loved ones who had been sold away from them. Bring suggestions of books you'd like to discuss and feel free to invite a friend.
The next meeting of the Prayer Shawl ministry will be Tuesday, August 11, at 1:00 pm in Room 16. Bring a project or let us know and we can provide you with needles and yarn. This is a lovely time to relax, chat, be creative, and make something comforting for someone who is struggling. We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month.
