Your favorite FPC memory
August 11, 2020, 5:00 PM

On May 3, 2021 our church will be 125 years old. Can you believe it! As we move into the uncharted waters of 2021 and beyond, let's look back for a moment at where we have been. Back in 1894-95 Casa Grande was a fledgling community stradling the Southern Pacific RR. That's when a young preacher, faithful to the calling of the Holy Spirit, began to plant the seeds of the Gospel. His name was Henry Adelbert Thompson. From his home base in Peoria, AZ, he preached regularly in Toltec, Arizola, Casa Grande, Maricopa, Gila Bend, Congress Junction, and Wickenberg. Some seeds began to take hold and grow and on May 3, 1896, a new Presbyterian congregation was formed to serve Arizola and Casa Grande.Beginning with the stout hearts of those early pioneers this congregation has seen periods of growth and times of withering, but we have continued to keep the faith. My question to you is: What's your favorite memory of FPC? I would love to have you share those with me. (pictures would be great also) Please contact Pastor Bill if you'd like to share something that encourages you and strengthens your faith.
