Congregational Care
Leader: Bill Heinle

Congregational Care seeks to bring glory to God by creating an environment of a caring family and an encouraging body entered in Christ, helping those within our community to be transformed by the gospel and extending love and care to others as they have been loved by God in our Lord Jesus.

Prayer Requests

First Presbyterian Church is committed to praying for the needs of our congregation. There are a number of ways the church at large or a smaller group from the church can be in prayer for you. We have prayer chain via email, a group that gathers to pray on Monday mornings, or we can print prayer requests in the bulletin or newsletter. If you have a need for prayer, please call the church office at 520.836.5981.

Membership

Congregational Care oversees the New Members Orientation class and helps newcomers become assimilated into our congregation. Check the bulletin for information on the when the next New Members class is starting or call Bill Heinle at 520.836.5981 to find out more.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is caring for people facing tough times. We all experience challenges in life--times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty in our lives. It is a confidential ministry. The Stephen Ministers are trained to listen and "be there" when you need them. Contact Bill Heinle, Director of Caring Ministries, if you or someone you know might benefit from the care of a Stephen Minister.

Visitations

We have staff and volunteers available for hospital, hospice, and home visitations. To request a visit, please call the church office at 520.836.5981.

Home Communion

First Presbyterian Church celebrates communion the first Sunday of every month. If you are unable to attend church for health reasons and would like to take communion, please call the church office at 520.836.5981 to request a visit for this purpose.
